The Purcell Gallery, run by proprietor Rosemary Purcell, is situated on Main Street in the town of Kenmare in County Kerry. The gallery exhibits the work of a number of regular artists (often reflecting the artists perspectives on the landscapes, structures and people of the surrounding areas of coast and mountains) as well as hosting exhibitions in the main gallery and its upstairs exhibition space.
Recent exhibitions include a selection of fascinating portraits of figures from the local community by artist Claire Bunbury, the exuberant paintings of Danny Smith and the dramatic and varied works of dutch-born artist Joop Smits.
